It was revealed yesterday that the UFC and FOX had parted ways with Chael Sonnen, after it was revealed that he had failed his second Nevada Athletic Commission drug test, testing positive for two more additional banned substances, human growth hormone (HGH) and recombinant human erythropietin (EPO).
Although the UFC issued an official statement saying that the company and FOX Sports were severing ties with Sonnen, UFC President Dana White had yet to address the matter publicly, until now.
On FOX Sports 1 White spoke about the situation, saying that the decision to cut Sonnen from his broadcasting duties with the UFC and FOX was not an easy decision, but reiterated it was necessary one.
